Graduated in Popular Piano at State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), the Brazilian pianist Janice Pezoa works as a teacher at the renowned EM&T - Campinas (School of Music and Technology), Conservatory Carlos Gomes and School of Arts at IASP.
She currently presents her newest work, “Nuances” in jazz-trio format, where she develops her own compositions in contemporary jazz language with arrangements developed to the ensemble piano, double bass and drums.
Janice Pezoa mixes in her compositions her strong influences from the classical piano, Brazilian instrumental music and jazz, her passion. Together with the double bass player Paulo Signori and the drummer Pablo Pezoa, she performs a work that results from many musical, rhythmic and harmonic influences, combining jazz improvisation with varied rhythms, especially from the Brazilian cultural universe.
