João Farinha, was born in Coimbra in 1976. Fado has always been related to his family as his father was also a fado singer, and at a very early age he had the chance to live among some of the most important fado personalities in Coimbra. In October of 1998, he founded his first fado group "AEMINIUM" and for several years he sang with “AEMINIUM” all over Portugal and over more than 30 countries around the world. He joined numerous musical projects with some of the best interpreters of the genre and his discography includes several CD albums. In 2010 he founded of the Fado Ao Centro project.
