Coordinator of the SAMP Music Therapy Center and Music Therapist.
He was born in Coimbra, in 1982. He started his musical studies at the age of 9, with saxophone lessons with professor Alberto Roque.
In 1999, he took the Professional Level III Instrument Course at the Professional School of Music and Arts in Almada
During all these years, he took numerous improvement courses with teachers like Jean Yves Formeau and his quartet, Mario Marzi, Claude Delangle, HenK, Va Twillert, José Massarrão, Mário Marques, José Lopes, Hugo Gaito, among others.
He graduated in the Course of Teachers of Music Education of Basic Education by the Higher School of Education of Coimbra.

In 2008, he did a Master in Music Therapy at the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares.
As a music therapist, she has worked with children / young people with Neurodevelopment disorders, patients with chronic pain, adults with mental illness and disability, in different contexts: APPC - Cerebral Palsy Association, Casa do Mimo, Pain Unit and Mental Health Service and Psychiatry at Centro Hospitalar Leiria and SAMP - Sociedade Artística Musical dos Pousos.

In the years 2012, 2013 and 2019 he taught the Music Therapy Module in the Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy and Psychomotricity courses at the Escola Superior de Saúde do IPLeiria.
She was a Music Therapist for 3 years at APPC and also at Casa do Mimo - center of educational activities for children and young people with special educational needs.
Currently, she is attending a specialization in Non-Verbal Therapy Benenzon, of which he has already done level I, II, V and VII, always under the guidance of Professor Benenzon, with whom she has also done clinical supervision. She has also been doing clinical supervision with music therapist / supervisor Margarida Rocha.

 

She has numerous formations related to Music Therapy, as well as has been participating as a Speaker and Music Therapist in numerous congresses, conferences, workshops and lectures. The Food and Lifestyle Orientation course at the Macrobiótico Institute of Portugal is finishing, allowing a more integrated and holistic view of the world and people.
In this context, she is the founder of the project “The art of being well”, where she combines music therapy with macrobiotics.
He has worked at SAMP since 2010 and has collaborated on numerous projects: Cradle of the Arts (Music, Theater, Dance, Parents and Children from 0 to 5 years old) / Piccolini (Music Parents and Children); Music Therapy Laboratory (Hospital SA); 100 Limits to Sound and Sound ConSenting (Mental Illness); Auditorium 1 (Pregnant); Caixinha das Artes e Amar os Sons (Babies and Children with Disabilities); New Springs (Elderly) and Aqui Contigo (Terminal Cases). Participates in the study “STOPain - Effectiveness of music therapy in improving clinical and psychological indicators in people with chronic pain” (DOR Unit).

She is currently coordinator of the SAMP Music Therapy Center.
