Francisco Cipriano holds a master's degree in Geography and Regional and Local Planning. He has developed his professional career in the management of community funds in Portugal and in international cooperation projects, having held positions in the Portuguese Public Administration and the European Commission. Currently, at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, he oversees relevant European initiatives and programs for the institution's activities.
 
He is a driving force behind various projects dedicated to European funding for art, culture, and creativity, through which he disseminates support opportunities and empowers cultural agents to develop solid proposals and effective strategies for accessing funding.
