Musician, composer, presenter and writer

From Olindense, Chinaina rose to national prominence with his first band, Sheik Tosado. With a consolidated career spanning more than two decades, he has performed at the most important concert halls and festivals in Brazil, such as on the main stage of Rock In Rio in 2001.
In 2019 he was nominated by APCA for the Best Record of the Year Award for his 5th solo album, Manual de Sobrevivência para Dias Mortos.
He also fronts the beloved Banda Del Rey, as well as the children's project Mini Joia, with his son Matheus (Teto Preto / Mamba Negra).
As a composer, he has collaborated with Mombojó, Jota Quest, Dado Villa Lobos, Banda Mais Bonita da Cidade, among others. In 2018 he launched his first book, the children's Carlos Viaja, with illustrations by Tulipa Ruiz.
Charismatic and a great communicator, he has gone beyond the stage. As a presenter, he has appeared on MTV Brasil, TV Bandeirantes and Rádio Oi. Since 2016 he has been on Multishow, commenting on the biggest music festivals in Brazil, on CanalBis with Rock Estúdio, as well as on Canal Futura, where he has been presenting Caça Joia since 2020, revealing new artists.
