José Maria joined PARES in 2017. In his professional career, he began by advising public and private entities on matters related to dispute resolution, arbitration and pre-judicial negotiation.

 

He later moved exclusively to the corporate, commercial and M&A areas, advising on asset deals and share deals, setting up joint ventures, setting up new businesses, working with both national and international clients.

 

For the last 6 years, José Maria has also been working in the areas of venture capital and start-ups, supporting entrepreneurs and investors in the composition and formalization of the best investment structures and advising on a daily basis on all legal matters related to the set-up of new start-up operations.

 

Finally, as a result of some secondment experience, José Maria also brings together knowledge and experience in the areas of Communications, Advertising, Technology and Personal Data.
